Natural Light

This light-filled home in the St Croix Valley is truly a showcase for biophilic design. Its placement on the land gives it a tree-house feeling, especially in the summer. We wanted the interiors to reflect the serenity of its surroundings in every way, so we focused on warm wood throughout, earth tones, and organic textiles, as well as mixed metals, stone, and glass accents to mimic its inspiration and compliment the architecture.
The home, the primary residence for empty-nesters, also had to include space for their beloved grown children. Large spaces for gathering, playing games, and musical evenings by the grand piano were paramount in the client’s goals.
They now have the best of both worlds: privacy and nature embracing their everyday lives, with room for joyful celebrations with family.
