ABOUT
With more than 35 years of designing homes, workplaces, schools, restaurants, retail and products, InUnison is taking stock in who we are and what we do. In the spaces we move through each day, the light dancing on our floors, the shape of the refuge we take from the world, when executed thoughtfully, all of it touches our hearts deepest yearning for harmony and propels us forward on our journey of becoming authentically who we are. Nobody understands this better or is more passionate about creating it than InUnison.
We view our role first as listeners and guides, gently coaxing your desires, your vision out into the open where you can see it. Then, through the alchemy of science and aesthetics, we dimensionalize and animate that vision, creating spaces that are truly alive, not time pieces or trend pieces or sterile showrooms, but rich, holistic, joyful, sustainable, youcentricexperiences. Beautiful spaces that embrace, affirm and celebrate their humans, and vice versa, every single day.
Through this new branding experience, we’ve leaned into the fact that - We’re a lot like no one else. Come along with us as we share who we are – designers, musicians, book worms, math geeks, travelers, night owls and wanderers, originality is in our nature. When we put our team’s diverse viewpoints and skills and experiences and quirks together in the petri dish – and when we collaborate with you, (who, by the way is also a lot like no one else) wonderful and truly original ideas emerge.
With every project, we fall in love all over again, and it shows: in our tireless dedication to our craft and to the process, in the way we treat our teammates and our clients, in our commitment to sustainability—both to the environment and to the community that we are nourished by and, in turn, strive to nourish. The unabashed joy and enthusiasm with which we approach our work is clearly contagious: clients share in our giddy excitement because really, what could be more energizing than creating the space, the experience of your most
vibrant dreams, together.
OUR TEAM
Our allegiance to beauty is obvious. What’s far less obvious is how our technical expertise intersects with and complements it. Navigating (or creating) detailed specifications - from floors plans to elevations to construction documents, we use that information to guide, inspire and actualize great design. Collaborating with architects, builders and contractors, we solve problems, value engineer, manage safety considerations – in unexpectedly beautiful ways. It’s why we’re the first design referral for a great number of architects: because we work holistically, not just artistically.

Jessica Tschida
PROJECT MANAGER
Jessica has years of commercial and residential interior design experience with InUnison Design. A graduate of the University of Minnesota with a BS in Interior Design, she loves the ever-changing nature and variety of design projects that come to her. She appreciates being able to flex her skills and continuing to innovate with each new challenge. Her design inspirations come from her travel wanderlust and world epicurean experiences. From the rich and decorative details of Spanish architecture to the health and nature driven aspects of Denmark’s culture she loves weaving global design themes into her work. Outside of the office she enjoys spending time in nature, trying new restaurants, and being with her family. Jessica is a mom to two little ones and her original 4-legged baby Luna.
Olivia Jones
PROJECT MANAGER
Eva Paavola
PROJECT DESIGNER
From a young age Olivia could be found next to her father helping him renovate her childhood home. She learned how their home could change over time to accommodate different seasons of her family’s life. This deeply influenced her desire to help others improve their physical, emotional, and mental health by enhancing the function and aesthetics of the space around them. She completed her degree in Interior Design at the University of Minnesota and now uses this expertise at InUnison Design. She finds the clients' joy and excitement upon seeing a finished project to be wholly rewarding. When not in the studio, Olivia is a musician— her favorite instruments being piano and marimba— and can be found most often spending time with friends and family.
Julie Mathie
BUSINESS MANAGER
Julie didn’t seek the Interior Design field, but it seems to follow her wherever she goes. With a degree in Graphic Design, Julie “fell” into working with furniture from local showrooms to design studios. She has a keen and vast understanding of the business side of Interior Design and her breadth of knowledge allows her to easily work with suppliers, designers and their customers. She prefers being the person behind the scenes making everything come together smoothly. An identical twin, Julie is a dedicated city girl, a proud crazy cat lady and mom to two sphynx cats and avid horse racing aficionado.
If you swing by the InUnison offices and it seems brighter, it means Eva is present. Eva's attitude is always buoyant, and she carries this into her design aesthetic and her interactions with clients and colleagues. Her love of bright colors was imbued into her at an early age when her mother, who had a penchant for home projects, would involve Eva's opinion in every renovation. Since then, she has favored bold colors and patterns and is drawn to elements of nature in design. Eva is a graduate of the University of Minnesota with a BS in Interior Design.
Elizabeth Frisk
OFFICE MANAGER
With a degree in Business Administration from Regis University, Elizabeth brings her business acumen and marketing and communication skills to InUnison’s office. As the child of two industry veterans, she has also steeped in the world of refined design since infancy. This allows her to steer the ship of InUnison’s creatives with an equal measure of discipline and design. Elizabeth is passionate about art, plants, and gardening outside of work and loves to cook, puzzle, and spend time with her beloved bunny, Javier.
