Our clients loved—no, make that adored—their neighborhood in Northeast Minneapolis. But, as their family grew, they wanted more space and more light without increasing their energy consumption. Instead of decamping for the suburbs, they commissioned us to help them create the home of their dreams on a site next door to their home.
Along with Tim Eian of TE Studio, we helped create a compact, efficient, low-maintenance home right-sized to fit their needs. Designed and built according to rigorous Passive Haus principles, the house expresses the family’s personalities, passions, and convictions while resonating at the highest levels of sustainability
